Arizona State Parks Annual Pass and Passport

Before you begin your SEAT Park Your Bike at the Parks - Touring Arizona's State Parks challenge consider purchasing an Arizona State Park Annual Pass.

The Standard Pass is good for up to 4 adults in the same vehicle for day-use activities at all Arizona State Parks except on weekends (Fr-Su) and state holidays at Lake Havasu, Cattail Cove, and Buckskin Mountain (and River Island).

Most parks charge between $5.00 to $10.00 for day use so the $45.00 cost of the pass was easily made up in the first five parks you visited.  If you want to camp or enter some of the special attractions, you will have to pay additional fees.

There are state parks literally all across the state.  Some are parks with picnic benches, some have extensive walking trails, and some have fishing and camping facilities.  The Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park just west of Superior on Hwy 60 houses Arizona’s oldest and largest botanical garden that you can stroll through to get close up views of all the exhibits.

Many of the roads in and out of the park areas are motorcycle friendly roads.  The thirty-some miles into Alamo Lake was just gorgeious in the early spring.  Might be a bit warm in the summer though.

You can record your visit with a State Park Stamp in your Passport booklet that is included with the pass.   Don’t leave home without it!
