Death Valley Daze XIV 23-25 January 2009 Here is the latest on Death Valley Daze XIV. Don Cameron has picked up all the SEAT stuff and will be bringing all the mixings and fixings to Furnace Creek. We have three sites reserved which can hold 8 persons per site. Site 72, Don Cameron’s site, will be the gathering site. Bill Getter has reserved site #84, and site #83 is reserved under Deryle Mehrten. You should pay the park fees before entering the campground. If you prefer indoor accommodations call the Furnace Creek Motel at (760) 786-2345. There was a block of rooms reserved under IBMWR, Village Idiots, or DVD. It may work. If you run into a problem drop Phyllis Nefsky at PNefsky@xanterra.com a line and she should be able to help you if it can be done. The motel is within walking distance to the SEAT camp sites. The Hobo stew dinner is set for Saturday night around 5 pm. SEAT members need to give Don their can of vegetables by noon Saturday or earlier. A limited number of sodas and water will be provided by SEAT. We should have enough fire wood to last the weekend. Guests are $5.00 each. The dinner gathering in Laughlin on Thursday night the 22nd is at the Captain’s Buffet at the Colorado Belle at 6 pm local time. Rooms at the Colorado Belle are less than $20 per night and the micro brew beers are 50 cents. Even if you aren’t planning on doing DVD XIV come join the dinner gathering in Laughlin. Good fun.
