Eagle Eye Road to Aguila

This is a well paved back road that connects W Salome Highway with Highway 60 at the small town of Aguila. For the folks living in Aquila this is a great shortcut down to I-10. For Wanda and me it was a nice break coming back from Northern Arizona.
The road got its name from the rock and mountain formation just south of town that looks like an eagle’s eye. There is a dirt road that goes up to the mountain and per the bar tender at Burro Jims’, young kids like to hang out and party up out there.
There are a couple of washes that cross Eagle Eye Road that can be raging rivers when the monsoon rains fill them to over flowing. Tiger Wash is one of them and it crosses the road twice. Be careful.
Eagle Eye Road is an excellent SLC&WA that provides the Aguila folks a great shortcut, and a way around for the rest of us.
