Elsa and I are now in Uspallata, Argentina close to the Chile/Argentine border. Uspallata is where they filmed the Brad Pitt movie, Seven Years in Tibet. They now have a Tibet Bar in town. Ski area nearby is Los Penitenties.
Escaped from Mendoza but not
without lose of my hard drive with mucho, mucho photos in it. Oh well,
more pics to take. Did a ride to the 7 Colores today some pics attached.
Dirt roads, colorful canyons and rocks, just like Colorado and Utah but with
larger mountains in the background. Aconagua is the highest mountain in the
Andes and is just down road. Many bikers come through the area from
Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Uruguay. We swap allot of tales. Tomorrow up to
some hot springs, but not on the bikes but in a Jeep with some folks from
Santiago, Chile.
