Friday am (April 6, 2007) Steve Phillips, Steve Gabany and Mike Hoppe took off to do a bit of exploring on some newly mapped trails that Mike had laid out the week before.  Yes, he actually does use his GPS …not just talk about it!  If you missed the GPS orientation he did at the Ironhorse Open House a week ago.

Riding up on the North side of the Tortallita mountains, we rode some new technical (rocky) sections and at one point spent a couple of miles riding one of the washes to end up over by Owl Head Butte.  We stopped for lunch in Catalina after 40 miles of SWEET riding and then headed back on a similar route back to where we started off of Tangerine by Dove Mountain.  The only danger we faced was Steve Phillips playing bullfight on the way back.
