Day0 14July2026: Edelweiss Ultimate Alps Motorcycle Tour, with Mike Ostrom, Mark Grosvenor, and Patrick and Janet Stirling.

​

The group assembles in Seefeld Austria for an 11 day moto tour. I choose a Ducati V2S, 900 cc twin, which turnes out to be a very good choice for me.

​

Soggy morning for Day 0. Glad we don't start the Alps ride until tomorrow! We have been assigned our bikes and we set them up tonight before our kickoff dinner. Tomorrow we ride from Seefeld, Austria into Italy via the iconic Stelvio Pass! Should be dry and in the 60's when we leave.

​

Finally hit the road today! Started in Austria crossed into Italy, rode the Stelvio Pass and landed in Switzerland for the night. Some great Alps roads!

I've found heaven! It's in the Swiss Alps! Fabtabulous day of riding and a fantastic hotel on the lake in Brennen Switzerland.

We rode the Dolomites all day, stopped for a picnic lunch and then I split off from the group to checkout historic Bolzano old town.

​

In Zermatt, Switzerland for Day 5 of our Ultimate Alps Motorcycle Tour. A day off from riding. Instead, 12 of us rode a cog train up towards the Matterhorn for some spectacular views and cool temperatures.

Day 6 of the Ultimate Alps Motorcycle Tour leaving Zermatt, riding through Italy and ending in Lugano, Switzerland.

Days 7 & 8 from Lugano Switzerland to Bolzano, Italy. Caught a little rain on the ferry and on the morning of Day 7, but great and dry riding after that.

​

Our 10th and final day of riding the Edelweiss Ultimate Alps tour. We started in Bolzano, Italy, rode over some more great passes in the Dolomites and end at Edelweiss headquarters in Meiring, Austria. We visited the Mountain Motorcycle Museum and Restaurant for lunch, but that is a whole other post!
