I will be sending out a more detailed ride report to the participants for their feedback.
Day 1, we departed the Valero station as planned and met up with other riders at the Speedway station in Globe. After a 30 minute break, we rode onto Fort Apache in Whiteriver. After a break, we proceeded on to Alpine for fuel and arrived in in Reserve NM about 4pm.
Day 2, we rode to Datil and had breakfast at the Eagle Guest Ranch. It was a cold start to t he day with the temperature at 37 degrees; however, the cold didn't last long. While visiting the VLA, temperatures were in the mid 60s and it was a very pleasant visit. . Proceeding on, we rode through Magdalena and stop for fuel and a break in Socorro. We broke into 2 groups. My group processed to ride NM1 and the El Camino Real parkway. It was a nice ride and kept us off of the I-25 interstate. We reached out destination in Truth or Consequences by 3pm.
Day 3 - after breakfast, we rode to Hillsboro and across Emory pass to Silver City. What a fantastic ride with temperatures around 70 degrees. From Silver City, we will ride US180, NM78, AZ 78 to US70 and US191 to Safford. After Safford, the group broke up and rode home by various routes.
