Moto GP Austin
TX ride/adventure was a blast (as it is each and every year). SEAT participants in this year's event: Bill Flannery, Sam Rua, Sam Halgren, Eric Gittings and Chip Llewellyn along with Richard Skyba (President of Rose City Motorcycle Club in Portland, Oregon of which Bill Flannery has been a member for nearly 40 years). We changed the routes to and from Austin a bit this year and successfully avoided the normal traffic clusters in both El Paso and Fredericksburg with some great route planning. The ride to/from Austin is always wonderful with great friends/riders, excellent motorcycle roads and great lodging/restaurants along the way.

One of the major highlights of the adventure of course is being at COTA (Circuit of the Americas). This is an absolutely amazing venue to host the only Moto GP event in the USA each year. This year's races were awesome with multiple twists and turns in terms of lead changes and super competitive racing in each class: Moto GP, Moto 2, Moto 3 and the Baggers. The Moto GP racers are the fastest riders on the fastest bikes on the planet and it's quite a thrill to watch and hear them rip-roaring around the track. Our reserved grandstand seats were as always, the best at the track in terms of viewing multiple areas of track and several key and exciting passing areas.
A huge thanks to everyone on this year's Moto GP adventure for making it a spectacular and memorable experience.
Are we planning to attend next year's Moto GP races at COTA? ABSOLUTELY!
Bill Flannery
