Supercross Races

February 7th & 8th

Bill Flannery and Mike Shaffer are planning an overnight ride to attend the Sat, 2/27/26 Supercross races in Glendale and want to check with other SEAT members to see if anyone else is interested in joining the ride/event. These are the best/fastest dirt riders on the planet riding the fastest dirt bikes on the planet and it's just a short ride to Glendale to witness/experience one of these SX events. This will be the fifth event in the 2026 SX indoor season and the racing action to date has been superb.

Sat, 2/7/26 ride/event plan:

- Ride from Tucson area: Proposed route (app. 106 miles): https://maps.app.goo.gl/atNPx7CcaNkCk6n66

- Meet up location: Maverik First Stop gas station (9171 W Tangerine Rd, Marana)

- Meet up time: TBD.

- Lodging: Luxurious Motel 6 Glendale (7116 North 59th Ave, Glendale): Bill has stayed in this motel in the past for SX races and other sporting events. It's a typical run-down motel 6. It's not a place anyone should ever bring a spouse/significant other. However, it's reasonably priced at about $100.00 on Sat night, 2/7/26 and works for an event like this. It's located about 6 miles from State Farm Stadium which is a short UBER or LYFT ride. Other hotels closer to the stadium are running between $400.00 to $500.00 for Sat night, 2/7/26. Normal Motel 6 check in time is 3:00 pm but Bill will request an early check in case it's available. If you're considering staying at the Motel 6 Glendale I suggest making a room reservation right away. Let Bill know if any problem as he may be able to assist in getting another room and may have an extra room reserved and available.

- Transportation to/from State Farm Stadium/Motel 6: It's easy to grab an UBER or LYFT ride from the motel to the stadium but returning back to the motel after the event involves walking to a nearby hotel and grabbing a taxi or ride share from there.

- Race Schedule: The actual 1-page PDF schedule for Glendale hasn't been released yet but here are the key late afternoon/evening event times (qualifying sessions are in the morning and early afternoon):

- 4:30 pm: Opening Ceremonies

- 5:06 pm: 250cc Heat #1

- 5:20 pm: 250cc Heat #2

- 5:34 pm: 450cc Heat #1

- 5:58 pm: 450cc Heat #2

- 6:02 pm: KTM Junior Racing Main Event (3 laps): 15 riders

- 6:21 pm: 250 Last Chance Qualifier

- 6:32 pm: 450 Last Chance Qualifier

- 6:57 pm: 250 Main Event (15 minutes plus 1 lap); 22 riders

- 7:29 pm: 450 Main Event (20 minutes plus 1 lap): 22 riders

- Race Tickets: Bill and Mike have purchased two event tickets via Seat Geek for $138.00 each: Section 235, Row 7, Seats: 10 & 11. A few adjacent and nearby seats are still available if anyone wants to buy a ticket for themselves. There are plenty of lower priced seats available in the upper-level areas of stadium.

We're always tempted to ride home after an event such as this (have done so many times in the past) since it's relatively close to home. However, I avoid riding in the dark these days and I can enjoy a few (very expensive) beers at the event if I choose. Others may choose to ride home following the event rather than stay overnight in Glendale which is fine.

Let Bill Flannery know if planning to join the ride and or the event.
