Chiricahua National Park

We will depart from the Vail Quick Mart (Quik Mart, 13142 E Colossal Cave Rd, Vail, AZ 85641) at 8:30am. We will ride Marsh Station road for around 15  miles, then merge onto I-10. We will then ride I-10 through Benson up to the Texas Canyon and take the exit 318 toward Dragoon. We will ride Dragoon Road south another 15+/- miles turning right onto Hwy 191 towards Elfrieda. We'll then stop at the Mustang Mall on the intersection of 191 & 181 for gas and brief rest. After a brief stop we will ride Hwy 181 to the Chiricahua National Park. 

 

Total drive time was 2 hours not counting breaks, covering 115 miles and starting at 3500 foot elevation and rising to 6873 foot elevation.

 

Leaving the park, we will ride Hwy 186 to Wilcox. We will have lunch at Big Tex BBQ (Big Tex BBQ, 130 E Maley St, Willcox, AZ 85643). The drive is only 38 miles along a winding road into Wilcox. 

 

After lunch, ride home your favorite route. It’s a short hop to catch Hwy 10 in Wilcox (66miles to Tucson) or back roads.
